General William Hartzog, USA (ret.)

General William W. Hartzog, retired four-star General, is one of the world’s top experts in military systems, from their operational uses to the ways in which the US, allies, and partners around the world acquire, maintain, and upgrade them. He is a key advisor to both industry and government on a broad range of defense issues. General Hartzog is a member of numerous corporate boards as well as President-Elect Donald Trump’s Department of Defense Transition Team.
He is the author of the book American Military Heritage and many articles. He holds military awards from Germany, Venezuela, Panama, and the Republic of Vietnam. His United States awards and decorations include the Defense Distinguished Service Medal with Oak Leaf Cluster, the Army Distinguished Service Medal with Oak Leaf Cluster, the Legion of Merit with four Oak Leaf Clusters, the Bronze Star for Valor, the Soldier’s Medal, Purple Heart, Combat Infantryman’s Badge, and Senior Parachutist Badge.
